The VHA hosts the most extensive and comprehensive clinical training program for social workers in the United States. Through the Columbia VA Health Care System\u2019s <strong>Master of Social Work (MSW) Health Professions Trainee (HPT) Program<\/strong>, Advanced Standing and second-year MSW students gain invaluable experience in various social work disciplines within a healthcare environment.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Stipends<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Stipends<\/strong> are available for clinical internship positions, though they are contingent upon availability. It\u2019s important to note that the <strong>Macro Social Work track<\/strong> is a non-stipend placement.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Internship Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p>The internship aligns with your academic calendar, typically running from <strong>August to April<\/strong>.
