Job Requirements:

To qualify for these call center positions, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Education: Grade 10 (Matric not compulsory)
  • Training: Full training will be provided, no previous experience required.
  • Language Preferences:
    • Proficiency in English is essential.
    • Fluency in an additional South African language (e.g., Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, Afrikaans, Tswana) is highly preferred to cater to a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

Call center agents will be responsible for providing a range of services depending on the company and the role assigned:

  1. Clientel:
    • Handle inbound and outbound customer service calls.
    • Assist clients with insurance queries, policy renewals, and account management.
    • Follow up with customers to ensure their needs are met and resolve any issues promptly.
  2. My Way:
    • Respond to inquiries regarding insurance policies, claims, and payments.
    • Assist customers in managing their insurance plans.
    • Provide sales support for customers interested in purchasing or upgrading insurance products.
  3. Vodacom:
    • Offer technical support for mobile and internet services.
    • Assist customers with billing inquiries, payment issues, and product upgrades.
    • Handle sales calls and promote additional services.

Shifts:

Shifts for these positions vary based on company needs:

  • Day Shift: Typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Evening Shift: From 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • Weekend Shifts: Some positions require weekend availability, particularly for Vodacom, where agents may be required to work on Saturdays or Sundays.

You will be required to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as part of your schedule. Flexibility is important in these roles, as customer support may be needed during off-peak hours.

Salary:

Salaries for these roles vary by company, but they generally start at:

  • Clientel: R5,500 to R7,000 per month, with potential bonuses based on performance.
  • My Way: R6,000 to R7,500 per month, including incentive structures for high-performing agents.
  • Vodacom: R7,000 to R8,500 per month, with additional benefits such as mobile data and airtime allowances.

Locations:

These companies are hiring call center agents in the following provinces:

  • Gauteng (Johannesburg, Pretoria)
  • KwaZulu-Natal (Durban)
  • Western Cape (Cape Town)
  • Eastern Cape (Port Elizabeth)
  • Free State (Bloemfontein)
